Good news, you guys! The film Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi, produced by Cignal Entertainment, October Train Films, and The IdeaFirst Company, will be available on Netflix starting August 21, 2019! ICYDK, the film was part of the Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino in 2018.

The Jun Robles Lana film tells the story of a social media savvy teenager, Norma (Sue Ramirez), who is diagnosed with Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity Disorder (EHS). This means that she can't go near phones, gadgets, or places with WiFi and mobile signals! HAAAARSH.

Here are the reasons why I'm sure you'll love it:

1. It's Sue Ramirez's first lead role!

Before this cute film, Sue appeared in different movies and TV shows as a minor character or as part of an ensemble cast. She was Liza Soberano's sister in the teleserye Dolce Amore (2016) and Arjo Atayde's love interest in Hanggang Saan (2017). Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi helped Sue rise to fame! Her upcoming films include Cuddle Weather (2019), another PPP entry, and Dead Kids (2019), directed by Mikhail Red.

2. You'll love Jameson Blake's character. I promise.

Jameson plays Aries, a ~slightly nerdy~ character who's the younger brother of Norma's boyfriend Leo (Markus Paterson). He's had a crush on her ever since he first set eyes on her, but he's never had the courage to admit it! Until...naunahan na siya

You'll also love his quirky best friend, Macha (Angellie Saño). She knows about Aries' hidden feelings for Norma and supports him all the way!

3. The film's plot hits super close to home!

Can you imagine not being able to hold your phone? Because I sure can't! After she's diagnosed, Norma has to move to her grandmother's house in the province in order to get better. With next to no means of communication, she has a hard time keeping her relationship with Leo afloat!

4. You'll have the soundtrack on repeat after watching the film!

Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi's OST consists of tracks from Filipina singer-songwriter Keiko Necesario. My personal faves are "Di Bale Na" and "Maybe In Another Lifetime."

5. *Spoiler Alert!* The letter-writing.

Since she can't go near her phone or laptop, Norma communicates with a special someone through letters. The whole nostalgia effect gets way too real and it'll make you want to write your very own love letter, ASAP. Let's bring this tradition back, you guys!
