Today's dose of *kilig* is brought to you by Angelica Panganiban and her beau, Gregg Homan. ICYMI, the couple just launched their very own YouTube channel, The Homans. In their first-ever vlog, the two talked about how their love story began.
Angelica and Gregg were supposed to first meet in 2018. "Hindi lang kami natuloy dahil nasa New Zealand siya (at the time)," she recalled. Two years later, they finally got the chance to see each other while the actress was filming her teleserye Walang Hanggang Paalam in Subic, where Gregg resides.
"Si Cherry Pie [Picache] 'yung may kakilala sakanya and may kakilala sa'kin, na nangugulit na, 'Sige na, sige na, mag-meet na kayong dalawa," Angelica shared. "Nu'ng una, ayoko talaga kasi... parang tamad na ako sa mga dating dating na ganyan. Parang hindi ako interesado. Masaya naman ako na single, eh. Then para lang matahimik na si Miss Pie, pumayag na ako na makipagmeet sa kanya. Dun nag-start ‘yun. Nag-meet kami sa lighthouse dito sa Subic."
During their first meeting, Angelica mentioned that she's been having a hard time getting the food she wanted while in Subic. "So ayun, that was my in, asking her what type of food she likes," Gregg recounted. A few days later, he sent some meals to Angelica and her entire crew. "I knew at one point she would have to thank me and I would get her number." Aww!
Initially, Angelica would bring her friends with her whenever they would meet. "Tumagal-tagal, napapansin ko na nae-enjoy ko na kaming dalawa lang talaga yung magkausap."
After taping the series, the actress extended her stay in Subic to spend more time with Gregg. She said, "Tapos nung kailangan ko na umuwi sa Manila, sumunod siya."
When asked how they knew that they like each other, he shared: "I think it was how easy it was. I remember the conversation we had, we said to each other na, 'Even if we couldn't be in a relationship together, we wanted to be friends because we have so much in common.'"
The two revealed that they started having conversations about starting a family during their first Christmas together. "We both really wanted to have kids," Gregg said. Angelica added: "Feel ko, dun ko naramdamang worth it lahat kasi wala akong naramdamang takot noong pinag-uusapan [namin] about building a family together. Parehas namin siyang gusto."
After three decades in the industry, the expectant mom said that she plans to focus on raising her child in the years to come. "Sobrang blessed ko na magkaroon ako ng tinatawag na pamilya ngayon. Gusto ko doon ako mag focus."
