Bimby Yap recently gave an update on his mom Kris Aquino's health, and it looks like she's recovering well.

In a recent vlog, entertainment journalist Ogie Diaz caught up with the 16-year-old in the U.S. to get to know more about how Kris is doing lately. Kris and her sons Bimby and Josh Aquino have been in the States since June 2022 to seek treatment for Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA), also known as Churg-Strauss Syndrome.

According to Bimby, Kris is doing "okay" and is "stable."

"That’s the good word for it: stable lang, pero of course, still beautiful," Bimby said.

Bimby also shared that Kris has also gained weight, a good indication of her improving health. She currently weighs 103 pounds.

"For me, kahit 80 pounds si Mama—even if she was 80 pounds, she will still be the most beautiful mama ever para sa akin."

"I promise, as her son, to do everything I can to take care of her and to make her better.”

In November 2022, Kris shared that she would spend 18 months undergoing diagnosis and treatment for her autoimmune condition, citing her sons as her inspiration to keep fighting.

Based on her latest IG posts, though, it looks like she's been able to enjoy the outdoors with her sons, visiting Disneyland in January 2023.
