On September 10, Lisa dropped her solo debut single "LALISA," taken from the singer's eponymous single album that also contains a second track called "Money."
As of this writing, Lisa's music video posted on BLACKPINK's official YouTube page garnered over 81 million views and is well on its way to breaking new records.
Following the release, Lisa debuted a dazzling performance of the song on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. According to a report, Jimmy Fallon joked during his monologue comparing Lisa's massive popularity to the first NFL game of the season. He said, "Over 20 million watched last night's game. Lisa from BLACKPINK heard that and was like, '20 million views? That's so cute.'"
Lisa is the latest BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut. Jennie debuted her track "Solo" in 2018, followed by Rosé's first solo album R released in March. Meanwhile, Jisoo is set to star in her own K-drama Snowdrop alongside her leading man Jung Hae In.
