Dennis Padilla responds to his son Leon Barretto’s open letter with an apology. He first shared a throwback photo of him and Leon.
“I am sorry leon... Miss ko lang kyo... God bless you more! Just want to know what false narrative i said in public? I been reaching out to all of you for 15years in private....,” Dennis wrote in his caption.
Hours after that, Dennis also posted a handwritten letter addressed to all three of his children with Marjorie Barretto, saying that being their father was the greatest honor that he has received.
The full letter reads, "To be your father is the greatest honor I have received. It allowed me to touch the grace of God even for a moment and to see my love made flesh. I have regretfully made mistakes in my life. I may not have been there for you but I always had you in my heart.
Sometimes in life there are things that we will never understand why it happened. In the end, I regret all the moments I let slip by. I regret all the times I hid my feelings from you. If I could have but one wish, I would love to spend sometime with you. After all there is not much more to life than that."
Dennis’ post came after his son Leon Barretto took to Instagram to pen an open letter as a response to Dennis’ now deleted posts where he shared his frustration over his three kids Julia, Claudia, and Leon failing to greet him a “Happy Father’s Day.”
In the said open letter, Leon expressed his sentiments over how he and his sisters are left in a position of distress every time Dennis talked about them on social media, and his father’s “false narratives” let out in public.
