New Netflix show Emily In Paris may have received a mixed bag of reviews so far, but we really don't think anyone can argue with the fact it's an irresistibly easy watch. Case in point: we're yet to come across anyone who didn't power through the whole thing in less than 24 hours (also guilty). The show comes from Sex And The City creator Darren Star, so you're absolutely right to think major SATC rom-com vibes. It's got fashion, sweet friendships, a lusty love triangle, and a brilliant Lily Collins playing the titular role of Emily. While there's not yet been any confirmation on a second season, with that ending Netflix doesn't really have much of a choice, do they? Until then, here are 12 facts about the show to keep you occupied...

When Emily wears the tulle skirt at her first big work party, it's paying homage to Carrie’s tulle skirt in the series finale of Sex And The City, Patricia revealed. Her 'Emily' earrings are also a nod to Bradshaw's famous 'Carrie' necklace.

Emily resonated with Collins because "she sees 'no' as a comma, not a period," the actor shared. She revealed that she was constantly told no and lost out on lots of auditions early on in her career. Darren has teased more love triangle awkwardness and drama if a season 2 gets commissioned. Speaking to TV Line, he said: "Nothing is sort of exactly as it seems to [Emily]. And I think a lot of her ideas about life are constantly tested. And they will be next season, as well. What happens in the next chapter, I think, can be a real exploration of how does the relationship between these three characters evolve." He added, "Season 2 will open up some interesting and surprising relationship avenues." Nice people at Netflix, you know what you need to do.
