You guys, actor D.O. is back! The EXO member just wrapped up the filming of his new sci-fi movie The Moon, which also stars A World Of Married Couple (AWOMC)'s Kim Hee Ae and actor Sol Kyung Gyu. Here's a *sneak peek* of the blockbuster film:
What's the plot of The Moon, starring EXO's D.O., Kim Hee Ae, and Sol Kyung Gyu?
The movie is reportedly about a story of a man who was accidentally left isolated in space and another man on earth who tries his best to rescue him.
Who's in the cast of The Moon?
In 2020, Kyungsoo was confirmed to appear in The Moon and he will play the role of the man who was left alone in space. This is his comeback movie after being discharged from the military. Previously, D.O. wowed everyone with his exemplary acting skills in tearjerking K-dramas and movies, including Pure Love, My Annoying Brother, Along With The Gods, It's Okay, That's Love, and 100 Days My Prince.
On the other hand, Sol Kyung Gyu will portray the character of the man on earth who has a goal of saving D.O.'s character in outer space. The theater actor was cast in various films in the past such as The Long Way Home, Memoir Of A Murderer, and I Want To Know Your Parents.
Kim Hee Ae was recently announced to join The Moon and she will transform into Moon Young Eun, NASA's space station general director who has the power to save the man left in space. You might have already encountered her as Dr. Sun Woo in AWOMC, but she has also starred in other hit K-dramas like My Husband's Woman, Secret Affair, and Mrs. Cop.
Who's directing The Moon and when will it premiere?
D.O. will be reuniting with Along With The Gods' award-winning director Kim Yong Hwa, who also helmed the blockbuster movies 200 Pounds Beauty (if you can remember singing "Maria" by Kim Ah Joong in early 2000, it was from this film!) and Mr. Go. As for the premiere, the schedule hasn't been decided yet.
