WARNING: *Major* spoilers ahead for Hospital Playlist! Don't read if you haven't seen the latest episode yet!
No doubt about it: Hospital Playlist is our new favorite barkada K-drama. The show is written and directed by the same team behind the Reply series, after all! It tells the story of five doctors who all work at Yulje Medical Center, and get this: They've all been friends since med school and are even part of a band. We get to see what their lives are like beyond the hospital + their respective love lives, of course.
Season 1 aired its last episode in May, and Season 2 will grace our screens next year (hopefully). While waiting for the next installment, here, let's take a look back at all the couples who made us feel *kilig* in the show:
7. Seon Bin And Seok Min
Remember the spin the bottle scene? Everyone kept teasing these two young doctors, but they just laughed it off, saying that they weren't interested in each other. At the end of the season, however, Seok Min actually asked Seon Bin out! She totally didn't see it coming, but we can tell she still wanted to say yes. Ugh, kyeopta.
6. Rosa And Jong Su
They've been friends for so long, and their beloved spouses recently passed away. They even take pics of each other in Rosa's garden, constantly visit the hospital together, and talk about their children. They go on drives and remind each other to eat and to take care of their health. We know it'll take some time before they ~*officially*~ become a couple, but we can't help rooting for them all the same.
5. Song Hwa And Chi Yong
The quiet and reserved Chi Yong has no qualms about expressing his affection for Song Hwa. He went camping with her even though it was raining, bought her new shoes, and left flowers on her desk. She tells him that she's not interested, and he quietly accepts her decision. We don't know what's going to happen to their relationship, but Chi Yong deserves happiness, too.
4. Jun Wan And Ik Sun
Jun Wan the heart surgeon rarely shows his emotions, but he turns into a giddy lovestruck schoolboy when it comes to Ik Jun's soldier sister Ik Sun. Their relationship is easy, they get along so well, but what happens when Ik Sun decides to study abroad for her doctorate? Will their long-distance relationship pull through? Will she accept Jun Wan's proposal?
3. Seok Hyeong And Min Ah
What started as irritation became a crush for Min Ah. She thought Seok Hyeong was an *unfeeling slug* when he first arrived at the hospital, but she soon learns that he's one of the kindest doctors out there. She sets out to find everything there is to know about him. He clearly has feelings for her too, but is holding himself back and insists that he's better off alone.
2. Song Hwa And Ik Jun
Season 1 was such a cliffhanger! We found out that "Dr. Romatic" Ik Jun has had a crush on Song Hwa for years, ever since their med school days. He even gave her a scrunchie during their first meeting. The fact that Ik Jun low-key confessed at the end of the season is enough to give us a heart attack! Yes, it might get kinda awkward if they got together, since they've been friends for sooo long, but we believe that these two are made for each other. Song Hwa's relationship with Ik Jun's son U-ju is also the cutest.
1. Gyeo Wool And Jeong Won
After THAT season finale, we all want to be Gyeo Wool because she won big time. It was always an accepted fact that Jeong Won would eventually become a priest like his brothers, but Gyeo Wool never gave up hope. She almost tried dating someone else, but her heart always led her back to Jeong Won. She finally tells him how she feels, and as it turns out, he felt the same way about her all along. #GOALS.
