Here at Cosmo, we are huuuuuuuge fans of Korean actor Hwang In Yeop to the point that we attended ALL of his fan meets in Manila. (Yup, we're all big fans of him in this household. *nods*) And if we’re gonna be honest, each event always feels like it’s our first time meeting him. In Yeop is charming, candid, and captivating—and his most recent visit to the country made us fall in love with him even more! ICYMI, the 34-year-old K-drama star held his In Love fan meeting last January 25, 2025 at the New Frontier Theater which was attended by Filo HIYILYs (his fan club), and he was amazed that there was a good mix of both male and female supporters!
Here are 7 unforgettable moments during Hwang In Yeop’s In Love fan meeting in Manila:
1. When he serenaded the crowd with multiple songs
In Yeop as a singer is definitely one of our favorite versions of him! During the event, he sang “The Flowerpot” by Loveholic and “Slow Dancing” by BTS’ V. We were also surprised when he did a cover of George Benson’s popular track “Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You”! We might have been in love before but it never felt this strong. *winks* But if there’s a Hwang In Yeop performance that made us all soft and feeling nostalgic, it’s when he sang “It Starts Today,” the OST from the hit webtoon-adapted K-drama True Beauty. We’ve missed you so much, Han Seojun!

2. When he did dance covers of trending K-pop songs.
Speaking of True Beauty, In Yeop also danced to “Okey Dokey” by Mino and Zico which, BTW, went super viral when the Korean series was aired. The dance cover was actually not part of the show, but with a bit of persuading from his fans, In Yeop eventually gave in! He also performed ATEEZ's "Ice On My Teeth" and KISS OF LIFE’s “Igloo” (thrice—he was shy at first, performed the entire chorus on the second, and did a third round because his fans loved it so much. Filo HIYILYs are always winning!!!).
3. When he recommended a good place for healing.
The actor life can get pretty overwhelming and for In Yeop, he enjoys visiting and driving around the Han River area to clear up his thoughts whether he’s in a good mood or feeling gloomy. He recommends it as a place for healing, which he said is also a go-to spot for his K-drama co-stars.

4. When he went all in for his fan interactions.
We’ve mentioned in a story before that In Yeop is a true fanservice king and we’re happy to report that he has never changed! During his fan meet in Manila, the Korean star reenacted scenes from his most recent series Family By Choice (which you can watch on Viu!) with some lucky fans, and the moment was immortalized through polaroids. He also played games with Filo HIYILYs onstage and even hugged them! And like he always does during his fan meets in the country, In Yeop went down the stage and roamed around the New Frontier Theater to interact closely with his fans. Did we also mention that everyone got the chance to do a hi-bye with him and it’s not just a quick high-five, but more like a firm hold on his hand? WOW.
5. When he called out his fans because they arrived late, LOL!
All of us couldn't contain our laughter when In Yeop saw that some Filo HIYILIYs arrived late at the venue and he cutely addressed the situation. But it’s okay with him because he’s aware of “Filipino time,” LOL! ICYDK, In Yeop lived and studied in the Philippines—particularly in Davao—for years, that's why he knows how we do things.
6. When he kept on mentioning Jollibee.
Jollibee ambassador coming through! In Yeop mentioned the fast food chain multiple times during his fan meeting that we were already craving Chickenjoy by the end of the show. In his previous fan meet back in 2022, he mentioned that he really loves the Filipino street food kwek kwek (he still does) but right now, Jollibee is definitely his favorite and he made sure to have it as his first meal. He even went to a branch himself! Jollibee is In Yeop’s comfort food and he hopes it’s available in South Korea soon. The K-drama actor also mentioned that a friend invited him to a birthday party where he enjoyed eating sinigang, lechon, pineapple and halo-halo.
7. When he expressed his love for the Philippines.
We can’t help but go “aww” when In Yeop sweetly shared that he considers the Philippines as his “second home”! It’s been a long time since he went to Davao and if given the chance, he said that he would love to go back again. Before the end of the show, the Family By Choice star thanked his Filipino fans saying, “I was really happy today. Thank you for coming tonight. I hope all of you will always be healthy and I wish that a lot of good things will happen to you. I’m preparing for my next project, so please give me your love and support.” Of course we will, In Yeop!
