In a new vlog episode, Jessy Mendiola talks about decluttering her walk-in closet after watching the series Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.
Though the actress doesn’t strictly follow the Konmari method, she does let go of the things that no longer spark joy for her. This includes clothes that she has worn many times and those that don’t fit well. One thing she can’t let go of is an oversized polo that she wore all the time when she was “medyo malaman.” She calls it her “security blanket” that she wears until now on days when she feels bloated.
Jessy advises viewers to make the most of clothes by mixing and matching pieces or having them altered for a different look. She also says it’s best to try on items before buying to make sure they fit well.
Aside from clothes, Jessy clears out designer bags and shoes that she barely or even never used. Her tip? Don’t buy designer accessories just to fit in with everyone else.
Looking for new homes for her pile of items, she asks viewers for ideas on what to do with them, with all sale proceeds going to charities.
