If you've been waiting for a fresh onscreen pairing to obsess over, this might be the one. Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi are officially teaming up for the upcoming drama Love Is Never Gone, set to premiere on May 8 on Prime Video.

Dreamscape just dropped the official trailer, and that alone already has us hooked. We're talking fresh loveteam energy, steamy moments that will have you pausing and replaying, plus soft, emotional scenes centered on family. But just as we're about to get too comfy, it teases intense action sequences that raise the stakes big time.

At the center is Teo (Joshua), a soft-hearted, family-first guy who just wants to build a better life, and Yana (Ivana), a bold and street-smart con artist known as "Chameleon," who's doing whatever it takes to survive and care for her sick mom.

Their connection starts off rocky (yup, not your usual meet-cute!), but quickly turns into something deeper and more emotional—fueled by their shared struggles and experiences as Filipino workers abroad.

Adding to the hype, the cast lineup is stacked with familiar faces. Joining the stars Joshua and Ivana in the series are Jane Oineza, Jameson Blake, Epy Quizon, Michael de Mesa, and Dina Bonnevie. Our 2023 Cosmo cover star Joshua shared that this is his first time shooting in Morocco, which already makes this project extra special. Before this, he starred in back-to-back projects last year including Meet, Greet & Bye and the Philippine adaptation of It's Okay to Not Be Okay, but his upcoming drama feels like a different kind of challenge altogether.

It also marks his first new love team in a while, following his long-time pairing with Julia Barretto. The two worked together in films like Vince and Kath and James in 2016 and Love You to the Stars and Back in 2017. The two also famously dated before confirming their breakup in 2019, then reunited professionally years later for Un/Happy For You in 2024.

As for his personal life, Joshua has been in a low-key relationship with Filipino-French golfer and influencer Emilienne Vigier. She confirmed in January 2026 that they've been together for three years.

Meanwhile, Ivana has been steadily building her acting portfolio. She previously starred in A Family Affair (2022), which also streamed on Netflix and marked a major breakthrough for her as a lead actress. She was also seen in the TV series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano from 2018 to 2019.

But what makes Love Is Never Gone hit a little closer to home for Ivana is its Morocco setting—something that naturally resonates with her roots as a half-Moroccan.

Adding to the excitement, this pairing has actually been a long time coming for Ivana. Even before the project was confirmed, she had already shared in 2023 that she wanted to work with Joshua—and now, it's finally happening!

At the time, she spoke about how much she admired Joshua as an actor and how excited she was to be part of a teleserye alongside award-winning co-stars to really challenge herself.

She also didn't shy away from teasing what she looks forward to when given the chance to work with the actor. "Inaabangan ko rin 'yung mga kissing scenes," she joked at the time.

The upcoming series marks her first official love team, making this a milestone moment in her career. Offscreen, Ivana has remained notably private about her relationships, choosing to keep that side of her life out of the spotlight while she focuses on her growth as an actress.
