WARNING: *Major* spoilers ahead for Episode 1 of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed! Don't read if you haven't seen it yet.
Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum's new fantasy K-drama about gumihos who live amongst humans premiered this week, and honestly, our hearts were not ready for it. While we fully acknowledge how hot Lee Dong Wook aka Yi Yeon is (more about him soon), we couldn't help but gush over Kim Bum's comeback role!
WE LOVE KIM BUM:
- ICYMI, The Younger Version Of Kim Bum In 'Boys Over Flowers' Is A K-Pop Idol Now
- What You Need To Know About Kim Bum’s and Ryu Hye Young’s New Drama, 'Law School'
Kim Bum plays Yi Yeon's mischievous half-brother Yi Rang. His first scene was when he pretended to be a normal guy from the province, but his disguise didn't work because he wore the wrong shoes! He then made the most amazing *transformation* at the parking lot, transitioning from cute ~innocent~ guy in glasses to hot + dangerous supernatural being.
People couldn't help but compare his 2009 role in Boys Over Flowers to the 2020 one. His iconic smirk hasn't changed at all!
Even though Yi Rang is *evil* in the show because he eats people, we can't help but love him. Everyone's also looking forward to seeing more of his relationship with Kim Yong Ji's character Yoo Ri. Welcome back, Kim Bum!
