8 Lee Joon Gi K-Dramas And Movies You Should Be Streaming Right Now

Oppa Lee Joon Gi has #blessed us with so many amazing roles, we can't choose which one to declare as our fave! Joon Gi started his acting career in the early 2000s and finished his mandatory military service in 2012. His most recent role is a loving husband and appa with a ~dark past~ in Flower Of Evil

And because we miss him already, here are eight Lee Joon Gi movies and dramas which are available for streaming in the Philippines: 

1. Tale Of Arang (2012) 

Also known as Arang And The Magistrate, this drama tells the story of a ghost named Arang (Shin Min Ah) who meets a government official named Eun Oh (Joon Gi). Arang is on a quest to uncover the truth about her death while Eun Oh is determined to find his mother.

2. 2 Weeks (2013) 

According to the show's Netflix description, Joon Gi plays the role of a gangster! "Soon after finding that he's a bone marrow match for a daughter he never knew existed, he is wanted for a murder he didn't commit."

3. Gunman In Joseon (2014) 

This action-packed drama tells the story of "Joseon's last swordsman who turns into a gunman and becomes the hero of the masses." (Via Soompi) Joon Gi plays Park Yoon Kang, the son of a legendary swordsman. He is forced to hide in Japan after his father is killed and later returns to Korea, seeking revenge.

4. The Scholar Who Walks The Night (2015) 

Here's Joon Gi in another period fantasy drama, but this time he's an actual vampire! His character Kim Sung Yeol is also a scholar "who recruits a cross-dressing bookseller to help him in his fight to protect the throne from a vampire."

5. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) 

Yup, Lee Joon Gi was part of the sci-fi Hollywood movie. Netflix tells us that in the final installment of the franchise, "Alice fights to get to Raccoon City and obtain a crucial antivirus, but Dr. Isaacs, Umbrella Corp. and hordes of violent zombies all stand in her way." Joon Gi plays "the commander of the *evil* Umbrella Corporation."

6. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016)

In this *heartbreaking* drama, "a 21st-century woman gets transported back 1,000 years to the Goryeo Dynasty, where she finds herself engulfed in politics and a rivalry for love" (Via Netflix Korea). While the drama is currently unavailable in the PH, there's no doubt that Joon Gi's performance as 4th Prince Wang So is more than worth a mention! 

7. Lawless Lawyer (2018) 

Lee Joon Gi's character is a gangster-turned-lawyer called Bong Sang Pil, who starts a law firm and aims to solve his mother's murder. He stars opposite Seo Ye Ji, who plays reckless lawyer Ha Jae Yi. In an interview, as reported by Soompi, Joon Gi talked about doing action stunts himself, saying: "As long as it's safe, I like to do the action scenes myself. That way, it's natural. [The action scenes in Lawless Lawyer] were done idly as if we were playing around. Because we had fun doing them, they came out nicely. It's too bad that [all the filmed scenes] weren't able to air."

8. Flower Of Evil (2020) 

What if you started to suspect your husband of being a serial killer? That's what happens to Cha Ji Won (Moon Chae Won), a homicide detective who is *happily* married to Baek Hee Sung (Joon Gi). According to the show's Viu description, "their love story suddenly turns into a mysterious thriller!"

Bonus: Hotel Del Luna (2019) 

Joon Gi made a guest appearance in the drama as a priest, aka one of the choices for Hotel Del Luna's next manager! Hotel Del Luna is an establishment that caters exclusively to lost souls and is owned by CEO Jang Man Wol (IU).

Lee Joon Gi also made a special appearance in She Was Pretty (2015) and was a guest in the variety shows Running Man (2010) and Candy In My Ear (2017).
