Korean star Lee Seung Gi held his first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines on October 12, 2019 at the New Frontier Theater. During the event, the actor gamely sang, danced, and played games with his Pinoy fans!
He also made kimbap (traditional Korean rice roll) WITH HIS BARE HANDS as part of the night's "challenges." Seung Gi was given seaweed wrapper, rice, cheese, grapes, mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise to make his unique dish! PUSH reports that Seung Gi was hesitant to do it at first because of ~hygiene concerns~, but his fans persuaded him to go through with it.
There's more: One lucky fan got to take the dish home and she was even able to have her photo taken with him! Philippine Concerts writes that the fan, Hya Salise, traveled all the way from Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte, just to see Seung Gi. What a kilig moment!
In a tweet by Hya's sister, we see the actual kimbap plus polaroid photos of her with the actor. @yenskay_airen wrote: "Kinain namin yung kimbap. One for me, one for my niece, and one for my friend who also attended the [fan meet]. Masarap, promise."
He currently stars in the K-drama Vagabond as a stuntman who investigates a mysterious plane crash that causes the death of his young nephew. It's his second drama with Bae Suzy, who stars opposite him in Vagabond as a secret agent.
