Drop everything because Maris Racal is back with a catchy pop-rock single!

"Asa Naman" is a Bisaya-Tagalog track about the feelings of disappointment and hope while waiting for love to show up.

A nod to Maris' Bisaya roots, the song features Tagalog verses and a Bisaya chorus.

"Lumaki akong nakakapakinig ng mga Bisaya songs sa jeep at mga tricycle while strolling in the streets of Tagum, Davao, and Cebu. I was always amazed how they're all so catchy and the lyrics were always witty," Maris explained in an Instagram post.

She added, "I'm forever grateful that I was exposed to this kind of music growing up and happy that now I'm able to contribute in my own little way to the Visayan pop movement which I dearly love."

The single was produced and co-written by Maris' boyfriend and veteran musician Rico Blanco. The celebrity couple also teamed up to shoot, direct, and edit the song's music video.

"I want to share with you all Maris Racal's latest single, a song we wrote together and I arranged and produced. We also collaborated on this music video which we shot all by ourselves. Hope you like it," Rico captioned his Instagram post.

This is not the first time the singer-songwriter couple collaborated on a song. They first teamed up for the 2019 song "Abot Langit".  Since then, Rico has arranged and produced Maris' 2020 songs "Not For Me" and "Kahit Na Anong Sablay," as well as the 2021 hit "Ate Sandali."
