After all these years, the fandom is still as strong as ever!

May 2015 be known as the year One Direction broke our hearts into a million little pieces. Need a refresher? Here ya go: 2015 marked the departure of Zayn from the group (still not over this, tbh), the announcement of 1D's indefinite hiatus, and the release of their ~last~ album Made In The A.M. (which, btw, they never even toured).

Since then, Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis, and even Zayn have released successful solo efforts…but as every Directioner knows, it hasn't been entirely ~the same~. Now as we wrap up 2019 (and as we've all seemingly moved on with our lives), a poll was released on Twitter by The Tylt asking who's the best boy group of the decade: One Direction or BTS?

 And it looks like Directioners woke up from their deep slumber and took to Twitter to vote for 1D 'cause their boys actually won! 1D got an overwhelming 61.6 percent of votes compared to the K-pop supergroup's 38.4 percent. With 1D's win, the phrase "NOT SO DEAD FANDOM" is also currently trending on Twitter as Directioners celebrate their love for their kings.
