Have you had your cup of tea today? Well, we're here to serve you some more: According to talent manager Ogie Diaz, Dominic Roque and Daniel Padilla are rumored to have a rift in their friendship. The longtime friends belong to the same celeb bardaka known as the Nguya Squad, but Dominic and DJ's friendship runs deeper than that. Dominic has appeared in a slew of DJ and Kathryn Bernardo's shows and films over the years, like Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay (2013), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Pangako Sa 'Yo (2015), and La Luna Sangre (2018). He was also known as KathNiel's "forever third wheel" and the designated photographer in their outings.
So what happened between these two former besties? In Ogie's YouTube channel, he revealed that they've already unfollowed each other on Instagram—and that DJ's mom Karla Estrada also unfollowed Dominic and his girlfriend Bea Alonzo as well. "Siguro may kaugnayan ito sa gap or tampuhan ni DJ and Dominic Roque," Ogie said. And according to Ogie's unnamed source, "may nasabihan si Karla na isang tao na sinabi niyang si Dominic malabo na silang magkaayos ni DJ."
Bea comes into the picture because Karla is apparently good friends with Marjorie Barretto. And as we all know, Marjorie is the mom of Julia Barretto, the current girlfriend of Bea's ex Gerald Anderson. Ogie explained the connection: "Between Bea and Marjorie, baka pinili ni Karla kung sino yung dati niyang kaibigan or baka ayaw niyang magkaroon pa ng issue kaya siguro in-unfollow niya si Bea." As of writing, Karla has seemed to follow Bea again on Instagram, but not Dominic.
If you follow Dominic, DJ, and the rest of the Nguya Sqaud on social media, you'd have noticed that Dominic has been absent in their get-togethers and outings since 2020. Dominic's last post of DJ on his Insta was his birthday greeting for him in April 2020. DJ, on his part, has zero posts about Dominic on his feed. What we find hopeful in this situation, though, is the fact that Dominic still follows all the other members of the Nguya Squad, posted about Patrick Sugui and Aeriel Garcia's engagement earlier this year, and most recently, appeared as a guest on Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos' podcast.
