Just got engaged? Congratulations! Or in romanized Korean, chukahaeyo! We’re sure it can be overwhelming to start planning so why don’t you sit back, relax, and watch a K-drama muna? Who knows—you might find some wedding inspo there!

If you don’t know where to start, we got you! Below is a list of romantic ideas you can cop from Korean drama weddings. Warning: Many spoilers ahead!

1. Exchanging letters with parents like in Reply 1988 (2016)

Where you can watch it: Netflix

If you’re really close to your dad, you probably cried buckets when you got to the finale of this nostalgic series. Especially when Dong Il read Bora’s letter and she read her dad’s letter as she was riding off in their wedding car. Imagine your dad telling you, "Never forget that from the moment you were born, you were always my most treasured gem. My daughter, I love you. I can’t thank you enough for being born as my daughter.." OUR HEARTS! Recreate the feels by asking your parents to write you a letter. Write them one, too! Read it and show your genuine reaction as part of your wedding video.

2. Dress and suit for a beach wedding like in Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016)

Where you can watch it: Netflix, Viu, WeTV

There wasn’t really an elaborate wedding scene in this drama. And the time the leads were dressed up for one was just in a police officer’s hallucination. Despite the short scene, their looks were unforgettable. The pair looked dashing in a one-shoulder ruffled gown and a breezy beige groom’s attire. It’s a great peg if you’re planning a beach wedding.

3. Vows from Goblin (2016)

Where you can watch it: Netflix, Viu

A buckwheat farm would definitely be a dreamy wedding venue. Eun Tak's flowers and flower crown would also be the perfect pegs for a rustic theme. Aside from these, who could forget Gong Yoo’s epic lines in this K-drama? The most famous of which is, "Every moment I spent with you… shined. Because the weather was good, because the weather was bad and because the weather was good enough. I loved every moment of it." Another memorable scene was when the Goblin realized he was falling for his bride already. The actor recited Kim In Yook’s poem, The Physics of Love. When you read the translation(or the subtitles), it sounds like it would be a really dreamy voiceover for a pre-wedding video.

An object needn’t be large to hold great mass.

That girl, as tiny as a violet.

That girl, drifting in the sky like a petal of a flower,

Draws me to her with a force greater than the one exerted by the earth.

In a single moment, I fell and rolled toward her without a rhyme or reason,

Just as Newton’s apple did.

With a thump. With a thump-thump.

My heart bounced from the heavens to the earth in a dizzying pendular motion.

Such was the moment I’d first fallen in love.

4. Green and white motif from Because This Is My First Life (2017)

Where you can watch it: Netflix, Viu, iQiyi

It was a contract marriage, but awkward expressions aside, it surely was a beautiful wedding! The dominantly green and white motif was so pleasant to the eyes. Hints of yellow and orange were also added as refreshing details. Another nice idea from the wedding is a custom in Korea that’s also shown in other dramas: the pre-ceremony photo shoot with the bride. Here, guests take turns in taking pictures with the bride and sharing their well wishes.

5. A modern fairy tale wedding set-up like in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (2019)

Where you can watch it: Netflix, Viu, iQiyi

From the whimsical floral arrangements to the couple’s outfits, this wedding was plucked from a modern fantasy storybook. Blush-toned blooms filled the venue. A pair of bushes that looked like they were from an enchanted forest also lined the aisle. Of course, the dashing prince-like look of the groom suited the glowing bride in a ball gown dress. And here’s a practical tip: When it’s time for the first kiss as a married couple, see if it’s possible to clear the altar or at least ask the minister to step aside. This way, you get a perfect picture and video for that magical moment.

6. Vibrant fall-hued flowers from Start-Up (2019)

Where you can watch it: Netflix

Don’t be afraid to choose a theme with bold, bright colors like yellow and orange. These make excellent backdrops to pristine white dresses. Take your cue from Do San and Dal Mi’s wedding photos. Consider an unconventional gown, too, for a truly unique event. Suzy wore a dress with cape-like sleeves that made her look dainty and graceful.

7. Glam and sparkle from The Penthouse 2 (2021)

Where you can watch it: Viu

The characters in this series are the worst ever, but they were definitely well-dressed. Cheon Seo Jin definitely stole the show with her power outfits. In her engagement party to Joo Dante, she wore a fancy gown with crystals and ostrich feathers. It definitely matched the vibe of their glamorous party. When they got married, she also wore a fashion-forward gown with a silhouette that not many can pull off. To be fair, her beau also wore a unique and expensive-looking textured tux. Although all their outfits aren’t too tropical country-friendly, so consider your wedding location!

8. The spirit of ~collaboration~ like in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021)

Where you can watch it: Netflix

Brides, listen up. You’re the queen of your wedding, but don’t forget to take your king into account when planning! There’s always a way to marry your interests together and find a concept or make decisions that both of you will be happy with. Like Hye Jin matching her glamor with the simplicity of Hong banjang. They set to have a traditional grand wedding in Seoul, so for their prenup pictorial, they went the DIY route in the groom-to-be’s hometown. And the pictures are to die for!
