Sarah Geronimo wrapped up yet another successful concert, and one of the highlights was a song she dedicated to one of the special men in her life.
One of her performances in her 20th-anniversary concert was a song meant to honor her father, Daddy Delfin. Photos of Sarah with her dad were played as she sang. Before rendering her version of "Habang May Buhay", the pop star got a bit emotional, describing how her father was her very first supporter.
"He taught me to work hard. He has trained me. Naalaala ko po, every morning at nine o’clock, bumabangon kami," Sarah recalled. "Pinapaakyat niya po ako sa lamesita namin at dun po ako nagpe-perform, na ang feeling ko po, 'yon ang stage ko."
"Tatay Delfin, mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal kita. Para sa 'yo, 'Tay. I love you, Daddy."
In time for Mother's Day, Sarah also took the opportunity to also pay tribute to her mom, Mommy Divine.
"Superheroes ng buhay ko," Sarah wrote on IG. "I love you, nanay at tatay ko. Happy Mother’s day po, Mama. Walang hanggan po na pasasalamat para sa walang katumbas na pag-aaruga at pagmamahal."

It's not clear whether Sarah and her parents are already on good terms, but not much has been publicized following the alleged "punching" controversy involving Sarah's husband, Matteo Guidicelli, and her bodyguard. The said incident was rumored to have happened after Divine "arrived unexpectedly" during Sarah and Matteo's secret civil wedding on February 20, 2020, after finding out the ceremony was happening that evening.
In October 2022, Sarah penned a lengthy apology letter to her parents, saying, “Gusto ko rin kunin ang pagkakataon na ito sa paraan din na ito.. na humingi ng tawad sa aking pamilya na labis na nasaktan sa aking mga naging desisyon sa buhay. Patawad po."
