Selena Gomez has clapped back at a fan who criticized her for posting a TikTok in which she jokes about drinking. The commenter stated that they found the video to be in bad taste since Selena received a liver transplant back in 2017, however, the "Lose You To Love Me" singer wrote in a since-deleted response that the TikTok was intended as a joke.
The TikTok shows Selena duet-ing with a video of a well-known doctor detailing the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) definition of "heavy drinking' in men and women. The video, which Selena captioned, "It's a joke" shows the singer grimacing as the doctor reads out the numbers.
While plenty of people took to the comments to say how much they love Selena's sense of humor, one person left a negative comment referencing the fact that the Only Murders In The Building actor underwent a liver transplant in 2017, receiving the organ from her best friend, Francia Raisa—following a lupus diagnosis sometime before 2014.

The comment, which has since been deleted, read, "So one of your best friends gives you her kidney and you continue to drink excessively," according to The Mail Online. And in response, Selena reportedly replied, "It's a joke ass," but the clap back was lost when the original comment was deleted.
However, since the remark had already been picked up by a lot of fans many of the comments on the video are from people coming to Selena's defense, with many of them arguing that only did she state the video was a joke but that the singer doesn't actually drink anyway.
All in all, it's been a bit of a dramatic 24 hours, hasn't it?
