Good morning to everyone except people who haven't already listened to Selena Gomez's Rare, cause we need to talk about her new music. After the album dropped yesterday, it was prettyyy clear that many of the songs were about her ex Justin Bieber, with lyrics about someone "professionally messin'" with her trust and how "people can go from people you know to people you don't."
And it seems like Selena doesn't care that fans are putting two and two together, cause in a new interview with Apple Music, Selena talks about being as open and honest as possible in her songs. She says, "It wasn't in a vindictive way, it was simply like, okay, I actually have my part to say. People will ultimately know where the inspiration came from. But then it kind of ends there." Interestinggg.
Sel also talks about how dating in the spotlight changes things, which may or may not be about her relationship with Justin. She says:
"It is so cliché, it's just, everyone dates everyone. It always seems to be within a little bubble. And it's because it's safe, right? It's wanting someone to understand what you're going through or you're almost wanting a counterpart of creativity as well...But the problem with that is that you end up, whether you admit it or not, you're having a relationship for people, and not even for yourself. You just need to decide, within our world, if it's for you or is it for show."
