To prevent the further spread of COVID-19, the government has placed Metro Manila under enhanced community quarantine. Several concerts and fan meetings may have been canceled, but some of your favorite artists have decided to bring a bit of joy to their fans who are maintaining social distance by staying at home.
In collaboration with Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO), Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin kickstarted the #TogetherAtHome virtual concert tour on March 17. After a successful 30 minutes interacting with fans, Chris then invited his celebrity friends to continue the project.
On March 18, John Legend took over with his own mini-concert (featuring his wife Chrissy Teigen), and serenaded fans for nearly an hour. He also asked fans on Twitter for suggestions on who should be the next singer to hold their own online concert.
Charlie Puth took up the challenge on March 19, and spent a delightful 30 minutes performing some well-loved favorites.
It was Niall Horan's turn to take the mic on March 20, and the crooner granted fan requests for more than 30 minutes.
Look forward to future performances by Hozier (March 21, 3 a.m.), One Republic (March 21, 4 a.m.), Steve Aoki (March 21, 7 a.m.), and Jennifer Hudson via Instagram Live on their respective accounts. Check out Global Citizen's Instagram Stories for future concert schedules!
