- Netflix just dropped the trailer for the new season of Stranger Things.
- These kids are in for a world of trouble in season three, which premieres on July 4.
Now that everyone has lost an hour of sleep and is looking forward to summer, Netflix is here to get you even more excited with the new trailer for Stranger Things season three.
The trailer, which just dropped last night, starts out blasting the throwback "Home Sweet Home" and we see Eleven doing the mind-control thing that makes her nose bleed, per usual, to give Dustin a surprise welcome-home party. Spoiler: It didn't go well and he basically pepper-sprays all his friends with a household cleaner.
The trailer then takes us through a montage of scenes, one of which looks straight out of The Sandlot. Like, you might even spot Wendy Peffercorn and Squints by the pool.
Most noticeably, though, the gang is growing up, which is further reinforced by Mike saying, "We're not kids anymore." See where Netflix is going with this? They're not going to sit in the basement anymore playing games because that's just not what preteens do, mmmkay?
The gang spends the summer out and about at ice cream shops, the mall, celebrating the Fourth of July, and at a carnival where some guy with a gun is walking around a fun house. Meanwhile, Chief Hopper is saying things like, "It's important to me that you feel safe. I want you to feel like this can still be your home," so you know sh*t is about to go down.
And it wouldn't be Stranger Things if the monster from the Upside Down didn't make an appearance to totally ruin everything. I mean, look at little Will at the 1:25 minute mark. Homeboy looks stressed and clammy!
Anyway, I've never been more excited about returning to the Upside Down since Diana Ross came on at the club at 3 a.m. Anyone else?
