Cara Delevingne already has a good thing going as a model/actress, otherwise known as a slashie if you’ve seen Zoolander. But she’s about to add one more career to her job title: author. On Tuesday, Cara announced she’s written a book titled Mirror, Mirror, which will be out in the U.K. on Oct. 5 (there is no Philippine release date yet).
“Mirror, Mirror is a twisty coming-of-age story about 16-year-old friends Red, Leo, Naima, and Rose who are all trying to figure out who they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships,” she wrote on Instagram. “Until it all changes one day… (cue scary music).”
Per the Amazon U.K. synopsis, things change after Naima dies under mysterious circumstances and leaves her friends the message, “Sorry.” After their world gets shaken up by the loss of their friend, the remaining three have to figure out how to cope while also trying to discover what actually happened to Naima. “I love these characters so much, I love what they stand for, what this story represents,” Cara continued. “The process of putting this novel together has been life-changing and something I hold really close to my heart.” Now cross your fingers that someone decides to turn it into a movie and enlists Cara to play one of the friends.
