What exactly makes the Mediterranean diet the best? Historically, people who lived near the Mediterranean sea had a diet that was centered on fresh produce, nuts, and other healthy fats—one that's safe for people of all ages. 


Those who follow this diet stay away from processed foods, eating healthy fats like salmon, olive oil, and avocado. It's probably why the diet is known to improve one's heart health and even lower bad cholesterol and prevent diabetes. 

But the *real* reason why this diet is amazing is that you can still drink wine! Cheers to a healthier 2019!
