Starting his career doing theater, Sol Kyung Gu landed his first film role in the 1998 movie Girl’s Night Out. Since then, his onscreen career breakthrough led to Kyung Gu becoming the ~successful~ box-office actor that he is now.

  2. The Book Of Fish (2021)

    Set in 1801, Jeong Yak Jeon (Sol Kyung Gu) served the late king but was exiled to Heuksan Island when a new king ascended the throne. There, he becomes *highly fascinated* with the various sea creatures, making him determined to write a book. He meets young fisherman Chang Dae (Byun Yo Han), who has great knowledge about the sea and is interested in Confucianism. In exchange for helping Chang Dae study Confucianism, Chang Dae helps Jeong Yak Jeon write his book.
