Congratulations are in order for Song Joong Ki and his wife, Katy Louise Saunders! The 39-year-old South Korean actor just announced the birth of his daughter on his fan cafe. He wrote, "I'm currently in Rome and it's just been over a year since I met my first child here. I'm incredibly grateful to announce that we've been blessed with another beautiful baby."
In July, Song Joong Ki's agency, HighZium Studio confirmed the news of his wife's second pregnancy. This followed the birth of their son in June 2023. Song Joong Ki and Katy Louise Saunders tied the knot in January 2023.
Song Joong Ki Is Now A Girl Dad!
In his statement about their daughter's birth, Song Joong Ki also added an update about his wife and daughter. He wrote, "Our lovely princess was born healthy, and both my wife and our baby are doing well and resting."

It seems as if Rome continues to be a special place for Song Joong Ki and his wife, British actress Katy. It was there where they first met, while he was filming for his Korean drama, Vincenzo. Reports say, it was actually through a common friend that the two first got acquainted. Following that, Rome was also the home to another milestone in the couple's romantic life as it is where Katy gave birth to their son in 2023.
In his announcement, he wrote, "Here, in my wife's hometown of Rome, we happened to welcome our baby. It's a healthy son.. and both the baby and his mother.. are in very good health." Seemingly, Rome has become a place of importance to the Song family because like her older brother, their new daughter was also born in Rome!

Now, the pair's romantic life may have been faced with controversy in the past, Song Joong Ki made sure to speak up about it in an interview with GQ Korea. He said, "At first, I was fine. It was an everyday occurence for us, and even if many people know about it, our love wouldn't change. But then, when the nonsensical stories kept growing, I got angry honestly." However, Katy was the calm during the storm, according to Song Joong Ki. Talking about his wife, he shared, "When my anger was growing, Katy told me, 'You don't have to be angry with these people.' I can't say much about it here, but she is that kind of person. She guides me toward a positive direction and balances me out."
