Specifically, this five-ingredient recipe has been going viral, after social media users found it to be a super-easy way to make delicious cookies without messing up, which leaves more time for eating. That's the kind of recipe we're after.

The recipe gained traction thanks to the @foodies TikTok account, which shared the recipe that calls for just five ingredients: One cup of light brown sugar, one cup of peanut butter, one egg, one teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.

Bake your cookies at 180 degrees Celsius for eight to ten minutes for the perfect quarantine snack. It literally could not be easier!


  • 1 cup of peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • Half a cup of chocolate chips

As a rule of thumb, a cup of peanut butter is about 250g, a cup of sugar is about 200g, and half a cup of chocolate chips is around 90g.

  1. Mix all the ingredients together, and then divide into 12 equal balls.
  2. Bake on a greased or lined baking tray at 180 degrees Celsius for eight to ten minutes.
