Holiday Idea: Go On A Romantic Hong Kong Vacation!

For extra special bonding time with your man, plan an adventure together in Hong Kong this upcoming long weekend or holiday season!

We all know that travel broadens the mind, but traveling as a couple has double the benefits; a romantic getaway with your man can deepen your bond. Learning how the other person handles an unfamiliar environment and enjoying the simple things in life together are priceless experiences to have as a couple.

So, for the upcoming long weekend (November 5 to 7) or holiday season, we recommend booking a trip to Hong Kong for a romantic journey you'll never forget. If it's both your first time to go there, you can explore the new grounds together. But if you've only ever gone with friends or family, now's your chance to tackle the "world city" hand in hand with your man.

Find Your Home Away From Home

Before you start exploring, first you have to figure out where you'll be staying for the duration of your trip. We suggest checking into the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel for superb service and comfortable accommodations. It's a prime spot for travelers, since it's right at the heart of the city and is within walking distance of major shopping centers. The luxury rooms are perfect for couples--the Harbour View Room is an especially romantic choice for you to come home to at the end of a full day.

Marco Polo Hotel is located at No.3, Canton Road, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Call 2113 0088 for inquiries.

Stand On Top Of The World

Hong Kong has many notable attractions, and the best way to start your adventure is by getting a bird's-eye view of the entire city at once. Take in the sights from Sky100, an observation deck in Kowloon with a breathtaking 360-degree view from the 100th floor of the world's fourth tallest building, the International Commerce Centre. Pinpoint the places you both want to visit with the advanced telescopes, then map out a detailed itinerary with the interactive tools provided for tourists. Have no idea where to start? Take the audio-visual guided tour, which is offered in five languages.

Sky100 is located at 100/F, International Commerce Centre, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon. Tel. 2724 6388. Entrance fee is HK$150 each for adults.

Sail Together

Cuddle up with your man on the iconic Duk Ling, an authentic Chinese junk ship that tours around Victoria Harbour. Pack your passport (it's open only to tourists) and your digicam (you'll want to capture every moment of the trip)! The view from the water is amazing and serves as a great backdrop for your couple shots. The historical attraction is so popular that even weddings and receptions take place on it! Something to keep in mind for your future, perhaps?

The Duk Ling docks at the Kowloon Public Pier, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Call 2573 5282 for inquiries. Fee is HK$100 per person. Bookings are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Just before sundown, set out for The Peak Tower, nestled at the top of Victoria Peak. Start by riding the quaint Peak Tram, which runs along a railway that brings you straight to the summit. When you arrive, head for Sky Terrace 428, a viewing platform from which you two can watch the brilliant city lights turning on around Hong Kong. You'll love taking in the peaceful, romantic view with your man and having souvenir portraits taken by the photographers on site. Then, pick from one of the many date-friendly restaurants and attractions housed at the leisure center. If you want to enjoy something familiar after a long day of touring, have a ribs and seafood dinner at their branch of Bubba Gump!

The Peak Tower is located at No. 128 Peak Road, The Peak, Victoria Gap. For inquiries call 2849 0668. For more information on the Peak Tram, call 2522 0922.
