Rei Germar Breaks Down Her Expenses From Her Zambales Beach Trip

She spent less than P3,000!

If you follow content creator Rei Germar, you would know that she absolutely loves going to the beach. In fact, she’s been to several famous beaches around the world—La Plancha in Bali and Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, to name a few. 

But for this year, one of Rei’s goals is to explore more beaches in the Philippines. In one of her first vlogs for 2020, she said that she’s starting a vlog series featuring travels to local destinations on a strict budget.

Well, it looks like she’s getting a headstart on her 2020 goals because she recently ticked off one local destination off her list.

Together with her boyfriend Migy Romulo and two other friends, Rei went to Zambalesa beach destination that’s about three to four hours away from Manilafor a quick overnight trip.

As seen in her vlog, the group opted to commute to the island. First, they boarded a bus from Cubao to Zambales. From there, they rode a tricycle to Pundaquit where they stayed overnight. 

To stay within their tight budget, they spent the night at a camping site instead of a hotel. They also brought their own snacks and sleeping bags.

On the second day, the group went on an island-hopping adventure. From Anawangin Cove, they rode a boat to two other beaches: Nagsasa Cove and Capones Island.

All in all, she spent P2,279. Here’s a breakdown of her travel expenses:

  • Bus from Cubao to Zambales - P348
  • Tricycle fare from Zambales to Pundaquit - P50
  • Tourist fee - P20
  • Boat ride for island-hopping - P1,125
  • Anawangin environmental fee - P130
  • Bonfire - P50
  • Nagsasa Cove environmental fee - P130
  • Tent rental - P150
  • Bus from Zambales to Olongapo - P50
  • Bus from Olongapo to Cubao - P226
  • Total: P2,279

Btw, you should take note that Rei didn’t include a breakdown of her food expenses because she believes that everybody has different preferences when it comes to what they want to eat.
