1. "She used the phone's screen light in order to find where she needed to be."
"I'd been seeing a woman who had never had sex with a woman before and I had been doing most of the work each time we had sex. This time, she decided she wanted to 'try her hand' (if you will) and take the plunge. Apparently, though, the labyrinth of the female body was too confusing, and she grabbed her cell phone to light her way to my vagina. She used the phone's screen light in order to find where she needed to be. It was almost like a cave-diver with a headlamp. Needless to say, it was not very good. At least she didn't use the flashlight app?" —Rose
2. "I decided to check on her again only to find she had totally passed out on the toilet."
"Several years ago when I first came out, my friends encouraged me to go out and find a girl and get laid. I was at a restaurant with some friends of mine and heard a girl call out to me and realized she was hitting on me. I wasn't totally interested, but she was cute enough. We ended up hanging out all day into the night and eventually went to her place. When we got there, she went to the bathroom and I lay out on the couch trying to look sexy for when she returned. An hour later I was still lying there, trying to look sexy and not annoyed. I decided to check on her again only to find she had totally passed out on the toilet. I woke her up long enough to get her into bed where she passed out again. She messaged me later that day but I decided against seeing her again. My great plans to get laid were a total wash!" —Kim
3. "I finally sat up and realized I had a bloody nose."
"One of the first times I was with a girl, I was kissing her neck and started to feel hot liquid, kind of like a runny nose coming from my face. I finally sat up and realized I had a bloody nose. There was blood all over her body, bed, my face...it was awful." —Kelly
4. "She fainted."
"Things were really heating up when she opened her eyes, looked at me, and fainted. Eventually I realized I had blood all over my face because her lip ring tore." —Marissa
5. "She used the sheets we covered up with to towel me off."
"The first time a girl squirted on me it was like a flood! At first, I heard that squirting sound, then a gushing came. This had never happened with anyone else I had been with before. I certainly knew it was possible, but I had no idea what it would feel like. Luckily, the bathroom was nearby, so I didn't exactly dash, but I washed my hands very quickly and I jumped back into bed, which was now soaked. She used the sheets we covered up with to towel me off. Great sex, but definitely a little awkward to say the least." —Erin
6. "We assumed we were alone and would have some privacy."
"During my senior year of college, a girl I was dating thought it would be fun to make out on the roof of our dorm. We assumed we were alone and would have some privacy. As the evening progressed, so did we...until we heard encouraging shouts and laughter from the rooftop of a neighboring building. Mortified, we quickly halted everything and relocated back to the comfort of a conveniently cozy twin bed in my private dorm room. And never returned to the roof." —Jo
7. "She stared out my window longingly while fingering me."
"I slept with a girl who I had been spending time with for quite a while, so I was curious to see how it was going to go. She stayed flat as a board and did not make a single noise the entire time. At one point I asked her, 'Should I stop? Are you good?' but she responded only with nods or shakes of her head. When we switched things up, she asked me to also be silent and I kid you not stared out my window longingly while fingering me. I ended up laughing so hard we could not complete the transaction and she left." —Mary
8. "The next morning my mom said, 'I'm proud of you.'"
"I was 17 and a nervous wreck. I had a double date lesbian sleepover at my house where we watched Better Than Chocolate because my friend at the time said it would 'make it happen' that night. When the film ended, the lights went out, and I tasted heaven for the first time, and I guess I didn't do half bad. The next morning, we all got woken up to my mother offering us bagels and coffee. I got taken aside and she says, 'I'm proud of you.' Awkward. As. Fuck. But also very cool of my ma to say." —Fran
9. "All of a sudden I tasted blood."
"I was going down on her, and I was doing a fantastic job if I do say so myself. Then all of a sudden I tasted blood. At first I thought she started her period, but then I realized I had a bloody nose from hell." —Danica
10. "When I went to the bathroom to clean myself off, my face and white T-shirt looked like something out of a murder scene."
"It was the first time she let me go down on her and I was very excited about it. The room was pitch black so I couldn't see a thing. When I was going down on her I felt like she was a lot wetter than usual and it really turned me on and we proceeded. When I went to the bathroom to clean myself off, my face and white T-shirt looked like something out of a murder scene—I was covered in blood. When I asked her if she had gotten her period, she told me that she was just sensitive from us having had sex before. Later I found out through a mutual friend that she was so embarrassed that she had gotten her period on my face, so she just lied instead." —Barbara
11. "I just kept lying there while she was searching for her nail clippers."
"I was over at a girlfriend's place for the first time and we had some sexy music on and started kissing and taking each other's clothes off. Then she started to finger me, and it made me yelp because she had these long, sharp nails. Then she realized, apologized a million times, and got out of bed. I just kept lying there while she was searching for her nail clippers. She eventually found them, clipped her nails, then filed them. Safe to say by the time she came back, the mood was slightly killed." —Miranda
