Here at Cosmo, we're all about being in the know about all the latest dating trends—from Bumble bios to running clubs being the new BumbleWe even published a story about how Telegram, the messaging app known for its strict security and privacy settings, has somewhat become a go-to platform for people seeking to engage in infidelity. It's developed a reputation as a "kabit" or "landi" app, which, though undeserved, highlights the extreme measures cheaters take to avoid being caught by their partners.

Why Is Telegram Known As The 'Kabit' App?

Well, thanks to the eagle-eyed users of Reddit, we've since discovered that Telegram is merely, as the girls of BINI would say, the cherry on topIn a post titled "Caught cheating through Canva!?" on the CasualPH subreddit, a Pinay Redditor shared a harrowing story about a female friend who allegedly discovered her boyfriend exchanging flirty messages with an officemate through—get ready for this—Canva!

First, some background: Canva is a subscription-based graphic design platform used for creating social media graphics, presentations, and more. Similar to Google Sheets, it offers cloud-based collaboration tools that allow multiple users to access and work on a document simultaneously from any device.

Additionally, Canva enables users to leave comments directly within the document, which explains how two people can interact—or, in this case, flirt—through the platform.

How a cheater got *creative* with his sneaky links

"It is no longer surprising to learn that people are cheating in really creative ways, but never have [I] imagined my friend would catch her boyfriend flirting with his workmate through the layout comments in Canva. Talk about creativity!" the user pointed out.

"Naka-team collab 'yung Canva layout at naka-ride [silang dalawasa premium account [ng friend ko]. My friend and her boyfriend also share the same laptop at home.Tapos mag-me-'make a copy' sana si friend dahil same canvas size 'yung tina-trabaho nila sa gagawin niyang layout, pero gumulantang sa kanya 'yung mga landian sa comments na hindi man lang ni-resolve. May palitan ng 'gud night b. :* <3'."

She added: "Tumawag siya sa akin ng 2 a.m., silently crying kasi katabi niya si gagong sobrang himbing ng tulogpero I could feel her heart [getting shattered] and hear her voice shaking. Akala ko wala lang [siyangpambili ng premium, pati pala utak palaSa susunodsaanSa CapCut?"

Some details are so astonishing they bear repeating: This two-timing guy used a laptop he shares with his girlfriend, logged into her Canva account, and somehow found the audacity to talk to his sneaky link through it. Cheaters may be getting creative, but their arrogance just might be their downfall.

Reddit reacts to the cheater's innovative ways

As you can imagine, the replies from users who read the post were not only critical of the guy's actions (to put it mildly) but also very alarmed by the lengths people would go to just to get away with infidelity.

"Kadiri dinamay pa yung mga wholesome templates sa Canva! Magkaka-trauma na tuloy si anteh sa Canva, which is useful pa naman sa work," one user wrote.

"Ang alam ko so far meron nang [nahuling mag-cheat via] Shopee, Google Sheets, Google Docs," another user pointed out. "Ngayon naman Canva?! Ang creative talaga ng mga cheaters."

"OMG! Lahat na lang baSobrang lala na ng trust issues ko talaga, feeling ko hindi na ako magkaka-jowa ever dahil sa mga ganito," a fellow Redditor commented, to which the person who made the post replied, "'Huwag na tayo mag-jowa."

Finally, this intriguing reply from one of the users: "I know dapat sa lalaki tayo mainis pero… ikaw bilang babaepayag kang maging kabit [tapospahihirapan ka pa sa communication niyo na umabot kayo sa Canva? Talk about class, huh?"

While the post didn't specify whether the guy owned up to his mistakes or if the couple stayed together after the incident, it's safe to assume that the revelation likely put a strain on their relationship. And it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the girl decided to walk away.

PSA: Don't blame the app—blame the player.

So what's our key takeaway from this incident? Whether it's Canva, Telegram, or some new app that's not even on our radars yet, we now know that as cheaters keep finding new ways to fool around, the vigilant people of the Internet will always be there to keep the rest of us up to speed.

Oh, and by the way, the blame shouldn't fall on these apps either—Canva is a valuable tool for those who use it as intended, and it's unfortunate that some choose to exploit it to get away with vile stuff. While we don't see that changing right now, the least we can do is raise awareness about these activities, hold those responsible accountable, and look out for each other.
