This New Selfie Trend Is All About Being ~*Real*~ On Insta

It's called 'chinning.'

Whenever you see a group of people taking a selfie—arm extended or with a stick—you’ll notice how it’s usually from up top with the camera slightly tilted down. It’s the “flattering” angle because the likelihood of a double chin appearing is slim to none.

Instagrammer Michelle Liu isn’t about that life. In fact, she created an Instagram account dedicated to selfies in picture-perfect places, except she’s sporting a double chin (and flared nostrils). It’s her way of telling the world not to be so anal about their “image.”

Michelle told Mic.com all about “chinning,” the term she uses to describe her signature look: “My chinning entertained my friends all through middle school, high school, and college, at which point I decided to share my chin with the world.”

We don't know about you, but 10/10 we’d be friends with this chinstafamous babe. She looks like a lot of fun!
