When shopping for pants, it's typical to resort to what we've grown up wearing. A lot of denims probably catch your eye during a retail therapy sesh, or even a pair of flared pants just to spice things up. However, cigarette pants have been under your nose this whole time, and they're not as difficult to style as you would imagine! You'll know they're cigarette pants if they're snug and have a small leg opening that stops right above the ankle.

Here are a bunch of ways you can wear them!

You can wear them with simple tops for casual days

Pair these pieces with shades if you're stepping out on a laid-back afternoon! Kim Chiu's look below proves that plaid and graphics go well together.

If more minimalist graphics are your thing, a pair of high-waisted cigarette pants help elevate this look.

Or if you're feeling lazy, take a cue from Alex Gonzaga and just pair your pants with a plain tee.

Off-shoulder tops and heels go perfectly with these pants!

This pants style is already pretty slimming, and heels can def elongate your legs further! Pair with an off-shoulder top to highlight your shoulders.

Why not go business casual?

Go with white cigarette pants for a more neutral-toned look.

If you want to bust out the statement top you've been meaning to wear to work, black pants fit this look perfectly.

For the more adventurous ladies, you can wear a white cropped turtle neck, soft pink blazer, and a pair of red-hot cigarette pants like Gabbi Garcia

If you're lamigin in the office, you can cop this look from Alex Gonzaga: black long-sleeved turtleneck, bright fuchsia pants, and a colorful scarf to tie the look together.

When in doubt, bust out a plain white long-sleeved polo.

This smart casual classic looks great with gray cigarette pants! Wear a pair of black heels to add a sophisticated touch to this monochrome look.

Kendall Jenner is wearing a striped gray pair here, with pointed slip-ons. Still a dressed up look, sans the heels!

Don't have a white long-sleeved polo? You can also opt for a statement ruffled top paired with nude pink pants like Jess Wilson

Wear a dark pair with a loose top.

This is where a full tuck comes in handy. Pair your pants with a loose crewneck and silver accessories. Black platform slip-ons make you look taller too!

Try it with extra-long sleeves.
