Summer Runway Report: Make A Splash In These Colorful New Trends

Experiment with your wardrobe this summer by playing with vibrant palettes and quirky designs.

Be fearless with your fashion choices this season by getting inspiration from some of the top looks highlighted on Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012. Five local designers presented their new collections at the Visions & Trends show, and we got a front row look at the styles you can experiment with this summer.

Each designer had a unique way of incorporating color into his or her collection. Enrico Carado used subdued earth tones for his avant-garde, tribal-inspired pieces. Kenneth Chua also took the minimalist approach, using just a bright red shade to perk up his dark lace and fringe collection. For your guy, he also created military-style outfits.

Meanwhile, other designers used wider color palettes. Joshua Guibone used pastel hues like pink, yellow, and peach to soften the sharp angles of his sculpted designs, while Regine Dulay used bold orange and yellow shades to highlight the unique cuts and folds of her fun pieces. Roland Alzate presented a collection of wearable and work-friendly separates that were made summer-ready with touches of turquoise, lime, and orange.
