Angel Locsin Made It To This List Of 'Asia's 2019 Heroes Of Philanthropy'

Angel Locsin was just included in Forbes' 13th annual "Heroes of Philanthropy." Wow!

The yearly recognition names businessmen, billionaires, and celebrities who have made significant contributions to social issues in Asia. They are selected based on the value of their monetary donations, depth of their involvement, as well as the reach of their charitable works.

Angel has been a staunch advocate of relief efforts, supporting causes that help victims of calamities, violence, and conflict in Mindanao. She's been known to do these without any publicity or media coverage.

This 2019, she was spotted buying relief goods in Davao for earthquake victims (she donated a whopping one million pesos to Mindanao), and she also skipped the ABS-CBN Ball to instead donate the money she would have spent to Bantay Bata. When her Instagram account amassed five million followers in March, she also encouraged her fans to support a fundraising activity.

Also in Forbes' list of "30 outstanding altruists" in Asia-Pacific were SM Group tycoon Hans Sy, Alibaba founder Jack Ma, as well as K-Pop icon and Hotel Del Luna star IU
