Stars Take A Stand: All The Filipino Celebs Who Joined The September 21 Rallies

Published on Sep 22, 2025
It's been exactly a day since the September 21, 2025 rallies took place. Tens of thousands of people left their homes to show solidarity with the country's fight against corruption. And yes, our fave celebrities did not hesitate to be part of this momentous event in history.
In the unlikely event you missed it, trillions of pesos have reportedly been misused by the government officials who handled flood control projects. The news has people riled up, especially considering the back-to-back (and worsening) flooding in various provinces, as well as all over Metro Manila, in the past few months.
That is why two massive protest actions were mounted—one in Luneta Park that headed to the Mendiola Peace Arch, and another at the EDSA People Power Monument.
The whole country—and even the international community—stayed tuned to yesterday's gatherings. Major media outlets conducted live special coverage, and yes, celebrities expressed their stances online and offline.
Below, we've rounded up all the celebrities who showed up at the September 21 rallies:
Filipino Celebrities Who Attended The September 21 Rallies In Luneta & EDSA
Andrea Brillantes
Andrea Brillantes was one of the first celebrities to post about her attendance at the September 21 rally in Luneta Park. She uploaded a video compilation of her experience at the protest, and another IG post serving as a quick photo dump.
Andrea wrote in one of her captions, "Hindi madali, pero importante. Nandito tayo. Walang makakalimot! at sana, wag lang po hanggang social media."
Vice Ganda
Of course, Vice Ganda came to the rally in EDSA along with her husband Ion Perez. Their fellow It's Showtime host Jackie Gonzaga and some Showtime Online hosts went too.
Vice held nothing back in front of the EDSA crowd Sunday. The celebrity boldly called for the death penalty against the involved corrupt officials. "Ibalik ang death penalty sa mga corrupt. Ikulong pati pamilya nila," she exclaimed during her protest speech.
She also called on President Bongbong Marcos, "PBBM, upang magkaroon ng magandang legasiya ipakulong mo lahat ng magnanakaw. Inaasahan ka namin. Swine-swelduhan ka namin PBBM. Kami nagpapasahod sa inyo. Tapos na panahon takot sa gobyerno. Takutin natin. Ipakulong lahat. Lahat. Bawiin mga ari-arian."
Anne Curtis & Jasmine Curtis-Smith
We're definitely looking up to the Curtis-Smith sisters, who stood together against corruption in the Philippines. Anne Curtis and Jasmine Curtis-Smith were one with the people as they rallied to hold officials accountable on the flood control issue.
Anne even uploaded a photo of her holding a tumbler with her daughter's name on it during the protest, signifying that she's there not just for herself but for Dahlia's future too. Her husband, Erwan Heussaff was also spotted in the EDSA crowd that day.
"I pray our children inherit a nation honest, thriving, and worthy of their dreams. ✨🇵🇭 Let's not stay quiet until corruption ends!" Anne wrote in her IG post.
Mika Salamanca
Our September 2025 cover star, Mika Salamanca, also came to the protest action in EDSA. Aside from being vocal on her stance via X (formerly Twitter), she personally showed up and posted a photo of herself on her IG Story.
On X, her handler, Jan Enriquez, shared that Mika went to the protest straight from a shoot, emphasizing Mika's desire to be part of the September 21 movement.

Ralph De Leon
Mika's fellow PBB: Celebrity Collab ex-housemate, Ralph De Leon, also didn't hesitate to show his support for the people. On his IG Stories, Ralph uploaded multiple photos and videos of himself within the crowd.
In one of his IG Stories, he uploaded a video of Ben&Ben singing a rendition of their original song, "Araw-Araw." Ralph captioned with the altered lyrics, "Pilipinas, pipiliin ka sa araw-araw."

Of course, fans have spotted Ralph (who was, by the way, looking so cute in a white tee and a cap)—and he generously smiled and waved to his supporters, too. Love it for his fans!
Maris Racal
Like the Internet said, they never doubted Maris Racal. Fresh from starring in the progressive film Sunshine, Maris has brought her beliefs and love for the Filipino people to Luneta Park as she stood there against corruption.
She shared an IG Post to commemorate and to remind everyone that she'll always have space for things that truly matter in our society. Her caption read, "Serbisyo sa tao, huwag gawing negosyo."
Plus, the first photo that she uploaded read, "Filipinos deserve better." Period!
Julia Barretto
Julia Barretto also attended the mass protest together with her younger brother, Leon Barretto. The actress sweetly interacted with some people who asked for her photo as well.
The Internet has noticed Julia's gesture and praised her for showing up and using her influence for good. Apparently, the actress jumped to a work event after the rally that day. A go-getter who stands her ground, indeed!
Catriona Gray
Catriona Gray is our queen through and through! The Miss Universe 2018 titleholder attended the rally and stood onstage together with other celebrities, making a mark that day.
In her IG post, she wrote, "We call on our leaders to CLEAN UP THE CORRUPT! Sa mga lider namin, the ball is in your court.. ipaglaban niyo kami. Change takes time. But the time to change is NOW."
Iza Calzado
Iza Calzado proved to be a woman not just of words but of action at the Trillion Peso March in EDSA. Cosmopolitan Philippines' 2024 Women of Influence awardee delivered a powerful speech in front of the crowd.
As she called on the government to do what is right, she encouraged the Filipino people to keep fighting and keep moving forward until justice is served for the country.
"Hanggang mapanagot natin ang mga mandarambong at mga nagkasala, hanggang maibalik satin ang ating mga pera at dignidad na ninakaw satin, at hanggang sa makamtam natin ang katarungan at totoong pagbabago, mga kababayan, umpisa pa lamang ito," Iza proclaimed.
Iza also posted a photo with fellow actress, Aya Fernandez.
Elijah Canlas
At the Trillion Peso March, Elijah Canlas also spoke in solidarity of the people. "Lahat tayo kumakayod, nagtatrabaho nang disente, halos magbuwis-buhay para makapagbayad lang ng buwis. Tapos lahat ng pinaghihirapan natin, anong nangyayari? Binubulsa lang!" the actor strongly proclaimed.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Jodi Sta. Maria made a breakthrough as she attended her first-ever rally—and yes, she even stood onstage to deliver a speech!
Standing in front of the 49,000-crowd in Luneta Park on September 21, Jodi said, "This is the very first time na sumali ako sa isang rally na katulad nito. Naniniwala ako na sa pagkakataong ito, it doesn't really matter kung anong sector ang kinabibilangan mo, kung saang institution ka galing, kung anong paaralan ka grumaduate or kung anong paaralan ka nag-aaral."
"There has to be change. Change has to happen. [...] Tayong lahat as people, kailangan pong kumilos tayo. Kailangan po na marinig ang boses natin, na gusto natin baguhin ang sistema. At siyempre, gusto natin na may managot. Gusto natin na makulong ang corrupt," Jodi concluded.
Angel Aquino
In case you didn't know, Angel Aquino was an activist during her college years at the University of the Philippines Baguio. Since then, Angel has been doing all things that forward her lifetime calling: to serve the people.
During her speech in Luneta, Angel expressed her anger and frustration at how things still haven't changed through the years for the Filipino people. "Pero hanggang ngayon, parang mas malala pa ang nangyayari. Mas in-your-face pa ang ginagawa nilang pagnanakaw at 'yung paglulustay sa pera natin," she said.
Nakakasuka."
