On Instagram, Gabbi posted, “To my partner, thank you for holding my hand and for assuring me all throughout the premiere night. This is it, our movie’s out in two days. I’m proud of you, and I’m proud of this relationship.”
Meanwhile, Khalil posted, “To the best partner I could ever ask for, my love @gabbi, I can’t thank you enough. It still feels surreal being able to share the silver screen with you.”
Khalil continued, “Still can’t wrap my head around the fact that we have a film that will forever remain in history. A film that we can watch over and over until we’re [old]. I’m glad I took the leap of faith with you on this one. I love you.”
In an exclusive interview with Cosmo.ph, Gabbi shared that it was “weird and awkward” to work with Khalil for the first time. She said that there are both pros and cons to working with her boyfriend and the real struggle was that they were pretending to be strangers in a particular scene. In a teaser of LSS posted on social media in March 2019, Gabbi wrote, “Who would’ve thought we’d star in a movie together? Here’s to our continuous growth individually and together, partner.”
LSS (Last Song Syndrome) is a rom-com that tells the story of two strangers who are brought together by their favorite band, Ben&Ben. Directed by Jade Castro, the film will officially come out on September 12 and is an official entry to the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2019.
