There's A New Anime Film From The Company That Brought Us 'Weathering With You' And 'Your Name!'

Anyone up for a sci-fi time travel love story?

Here's some good news for those who loved Japanese animated films Your Name (2016) and Weathering With You (2019): Pioneer Films, which brought us these movies in the PH, will be screening another hit Japanese film called Hello World starting October 30, 2019! The sci-fi film is directed by Tomohiko Ito and produced by GRAPHNICA

Here's the sitch, according to Hello World's official websiteIt's the year 2027 in Kyoto, Japan, and Naomi Katagaki is in high school. He meets a guy who CLAIMS TO BE HIM from 10 years in the future! Together, they must change the course of events and save the life of Naomi's female classmate Sakai, whom he is *scheduled* to date in a few months. 

The film will feature famous attractions in Kyoto such as the Fushimi Inari and Kamo Shrines! ICYMI, Hello World also had a TV spinoff entitled Another World, which had three episodes and was aired in Japan in September 2019.
