BTS, who just dropped their newest albumMap of the Soul: 7, had a global press conference through live stream for the release of their newest album on February 24.

According to a report from Soompi, the boys of BTS, which is composed of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, talked about their newest album.

One of the things that the boys were asked about was Jin’s military enlistment. Jin, who is currently 27 and the eldest member of the hit K-pop group, is at the age where he must enlist in South Korea's mandatory military service.

Of this, Jin said, “I think many people are curious about my enlistment, but nothing has been confirmed.”

The singer added, “I’m careful [on] speaking about this, but I believe it is only natural to accept the mandatory military duty, and I will go when I receive a draft notice, no matter when that is.”

When asked about the title of their album, Map of the Soul: 7, Jin said, “[The album] looks back at the seven years spent by the seven members as a team. In our previous album, Map of the Soul: Persona, we spoke about the world, the joy of love, and our image.”

Jin continued, “In this new album, we wanted to deal with different things such as our experiences that brought us here and the candid emotions we feel [at] the moment. It reveals our deep inner selves that we had wanted to hide, and at the same time, we are confessing our discovery that these are also our true selves.”
