Kyung Ho got his big break in the K-drama world when he starred opposite So Ji Sub and Im Soo Jung in the widely popular 2004 romantic melodrama I'm Sorry, I Love You. Since then, the actor has challenged himself by taking on different genres and characters. More recently, fans can catch Jung Kyung Ho as Dr. Kim Jun Wan in Hospital Playlist.
Here are eight things you need to know about Hospital Playlist actor Jung Kyung Ho:
1. Jung Kyung Ho was born on August 31, 1983.
ICYDK, the 37-year-old actor is the son of Jung Eul Young, a veteran director of iconic K-dramas like My Husband's Lover and Life Is Beautiful. Kyung Ho revealed that his father was initially against his decision to pursue acting. "I secretly entered Chung Ang University's theater and film department due to the strong opposition from my father. Then, I passed the KBS actor recruitment and started acting." Nowadays, the father-son duo is closer than ever! The actor's Instagram account is filled with their *adorable* food and travel adventures.
2. Hallyu superstar Ha Jung Woo was his close sunbae in college.
The two actors were both theater majors at Chung Ang University! They even lived together in a studio during their college days. At the time, Ha Jung Woo said they should do a drama or a movie together. Well, in 2013, Ha Jung Woo made his directorial debut with the comedy film Rollercoaster. His choice of male lead? No other than his college hoobae Jung Kyung Ho!
3. Jung Kyung Ho has starred in two Shin Won Ho dramas.
In 2017, he landed the role of prison guard Lee Joon Ho in the highly rated cable drama Prison Playbook, director Shin Won Ho's next drama offering after the popular Reply series. Kyung Ho got the chance to work with the famed director once again in the currently airing slice-of-life drama Hospital Playlist. He plays the role of Kim Jun Wan, a seemingly indifferent cardiothoracic surgeon who is a real sweetheart IRL.
4. Aside from acting, he also sang OSTs for his dramas.
Even before Hospital Playlist, Kyung Ho has been lending his soulful voice to the official soundtracks of his dramas like I'm Sorry, I Love You, Gangster High, and When The Devil Calls Your Name. In Hospital Playlist, however, comes the added pressure of playing instruments as the characters are members of a band. Aside from practice, Kyung Ho credited co-star Jo Jung Suk as his mentor, "I think Jung Suk plays the guitar well and I got a lot of help from him."
5. Jung Kyung Ho is currently in a relationship with Sooyoung of Girls' Generation.
Talk about goals! In an episode of Life Bar, Kyung Ho shared that he was actually a fan of the iconic K-pop girl group Girls' Generation. A friend introduced him to one of the group's members, idol-actress Choi Sooyoung, and the two were revealed to be dating in 2013! 6. Jung Kyung Ho is a loving furparent.

8. Jung Kyung Ho has an upcoming film with Ma Dong Seok.
Once again, Kyung Ho will take on the role of a surgeon. He will star as Jin Woo, a talented plastic surgeon based in Gangnam. There, he will cross paths with Dae Guk, played by Korean-American actor Ma Dong Seok. They will act alongside Sky Castle's Oh Na Ra and A Korean Odyssey star Oh Yeon Seo.
