Maja Salvador just received her trophy for winning Best Actress at the recently concluded 1st Asia Contents Awards in Busan, South Korea. Wow!
The awards-giving body recognizes the achievements of the TV drama industry in countries such as South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other ASEAN countries. Another actress who also won as Best Actress was Yao Chen from China.
The star of The Killer Bride took to Instagram to thank the team behind her former primetime teleserye, Wildflower, for which she won the award. According to a report by PEP.ph, ABS-Wildflower is currently airing in New Caledonia, Polynesia, and Reunion. It's also going to be aired in Madagascar this month.
"Thank You #AsiaContentsAwards and #BIFF2019," Maja said in her post. "Congratulations, Team #Wildflower. Wala ako dito sa Busan ngayon kung hindi dahil sa inyong lahat. This award is ours. Masaya ako na nakapagbigay tayo ng karangalan para sa industriya natin sa Pilipinas. Salamat sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin. Kayo ang inspirasyon ko para ibigay lagi ang best ko. Mahal ko kayo. Maja recently celebrated her 31st birthday on October 5. Rambo even threw a surprise party for her!
Aside from filming for The Killer Bride, Maja has also been busy working on content for her YouTube channel. A sequel has also already been confirmed for Maja's movie with Paulo Avelino, I'm Drunk, I Love You.
