For regular K-drama viewers, you'd know that Han So Hee and Song Kang are two of the busiest young Hallyu actors today. They've been working nonstop these past few years and have been booking dramas left and right. That's why it's no surprise that these rising gems were paired in the new romance series, Nevertheless.
To know more about Nevertheless, starring Han So Hee and Song Kang, check out some fast facts about it below:
What's the plot of Nevertheless?
Like a bunch of other dramas these days, Nevertheless was adapted from a webtoon titled I Know But. Promoted as a "hyperrealistic romance," the drama revolves around two 22-year-olds: Na Bi and Jae Eon. After a failed first relationship, Na Bi doesn't believe in love anymore but wants to date around. Jae Eon, on the other hand, is the biggest flirt and heartthrob but doesn't see the point in dating.
According to Soompi, Nevertheless may be partially rated 19+. A source from the drama said, "We are discussing a 19+ rating for some of the episodes."
Han So He as Na Bi
When Han So Hee's role was confirmed in March 2021, the 26-year-old star said that she feels "happy to be playing a character in a webtoon that I've enjoyed for a while. I'm really nervous and I feel a sense of pressure, but I'm also looking forward to the first filming because I'm working with such great people."
During their recent script reading, 27-year-old Song Kang revealed he was ecstatic to be acting alongside actors who were similar in age as him: "It's been a long time since I worked with colleagues of the same age, so I had fun. I hope that we can have even more fun on set."
Where and when will Nevertheless be shown?
Nevertheless will premiere in South Korea on June 19 via the JTBC network. For PH-based viewers, we can catch the first episode on June 20 at 12:00 a.m. with new eps dropping every Sunday, only on Netflix! Nevertheless will have 10 episodes.
