In celebration of the actress' upcoming JTBC drama, Sisyphus: The Myth, the meaningful gesture was done through her fans who accumulated the said amount and donated it under the name, "World Starlight Angels." You guys, Shin Hye and her fans are the best!

According to Soompi, the sanitary pads will be distributed to "around 500 adolescents in 38 of KFHI’s child community centers called Happy Home School and 24 centers recommended by the Korea Child Welfare Center Association for a total of 62 regional children’s centers nationwide including Seoul and Gwangju. The Philippines also holds a special place in the actress' heart, because she established Shin Hye Center in Manila that helps children with their health and education! During her fan meeting at the Araneta Coliseum in 2017, Shin Hye explained why she chose our country as the second place to build a charity center, next to Ghana. She said that a Korean preacher who lives here told her about a certain community that she can help out with, and it was just her ideal location because it's close to South Korea and she can visit often.
