On October 6, Dara appeared in an episode of KBS JOY’s Love Intervention and revealed her relationship status: “I’ve been in ‘untact’ relationships even before COVID-19.” ICYDK, “untact” is a term in South Korea which means "zero contact", or in her case, it means she's been in non-face-to-face relationships, pre-pandemic.

Dara added how the dating ban implemented by her agency has affected her love life: “When I was a trainee, I was scolded for being in a relationship, and my manager took away my phone. Then after I debuted, there was a five-year dating ban.” The 2NE1 member also mentioned that she didn’t even try to secretly date, because her agency told her not to. Awww, Dara!
Being the pambansang krung krung that she is, the K-pop idol made the entire crowd laugh when she said: “Only recently did I make up my mind to date actively. All I needed was a will to be more assertive. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to my ex-boyfriends.” LOL! We can’t wait for you to happily date, Dara! For now, we will ship you with one of our favorite legendary idols, hehe.

Dara recently released her OST cover of the musical Another Oh Hae Young, an adaptation of the drama of the same name. This was her musical debut, where she played the role of Oh Hae Young, the ex-fiancee of the show’s lead character.
