SB19 is totally making waves in the global music scene.
The Filipino boy group's latest song "BAZINGA" made it to the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Trending Songs chart. OMG! Up there in the Top 10 are K-pop acts BTS, SEVENTEEN, NCT127, BLACKPINK's Lisa, and ENHYPEN!
In fact, "BAZINGA" actually landed earlier in the top third position. The Billboard chart is powered by Twitter, meaning the songs included are some of the most discussed on the social media platform. You can view the chart's top songs for the last 24 hours or for the past week.
"BAZINGA"'s official MV was released on October 29. In the vid, the boys donned an edgy look and showcased their amazing dancing and singing skills. The track is almost entirely in English as it proudly features some Taglish lines and a rap segment in Filipino:
"Clown! Who's the boss now?
I just turned the world upside down
Now, y'all can quit thinking 'cause you won't know how I did it
Bounced and kicked it roundhouse"
"Bakit ba hilig niyo mamuna?
Masakit na sa tenga 'pag nagbara
'Wag mag-alala, lahat tanda ko pa
Lahat ng mga pambihirang natamasa
Nako, pasensiya na"
In an interview with GMA-7 reporter Shai Lagarde, SB19's Justin said that all the songs on their EP Pagsibol are interconnected and "BAZINGA" is all about their detractors.
"Interconnected sila sa meaning po. 'What?' is about individuality, 'Mapa' is about our parents, 'Mana' is about reaching high but keeping grounded, 'Ikako' is for frontliners, "BAZINGA" is for detractors, "SLMT" is for our fans. Lahat sila about our roots."
