Lee So Young, more commonly known by her stage name Esom, gained recognition through her role in the 2014 film Scarlet Innocence, which earned her multiple Best New Actress nominations. Nam Sae Hee (Lee Min Ki) and Yoon Ji Ho (Jung So Min) married each other for convenience to resolve their individual issues. This fake marriage trope of a story didn't only make us feel kilig; it also showed how people struggle with their career, relationships, marriage, and love. Esom played Ji Ho’s friend, Woo Su Ji, who also works in a corporate office.

Mi So (Esom) is a housekeeper who finds her only relief in three things: cigarettes, a glass of whiskey after work, and her boyfriend. As the cost of cigarettes and her rent start to rise, she chooses to give up her rent. Mi So then contacts each of her former bandmates in order to temporarily move into their place as she rethinks her existence in life.

3. The Third Charm (2018)

Who else is in it: Seo Kang Joon, Yang Dong Geun, Lee Yoon Ji, Lee Sang Yi, Park Gyu Young

The Third Charm tells the story of two people with completely opposite traits, and details their relationship of 12 years. On Joon Young (Seo Kang Joon) always has a plan for everything and he never deviates from it. In contrast, Lee Young Jae (Esom) is a spontaneous woman. The two meet each other at a group blind date that ~sparks~ the beginning of their romance.

4. Inseparable Bros (2019)

Who else is in it: Lee Kwang Soo, Shin Ha Kyun

Se Ha (Shin Ha Kyun) and Dong Goo (Lee Kwang Soo) are the complete "brain" and "brawn" duo. Se Ha is smart but has a physical disability, while Dong Goo’s physical health is outstanding (he is a swimmer, BTW) but he has the mental capacity of a five-year-old. Growing up together, the two brothers who aren’t even related by blood have stood up for each other through thick and thin. Mi Hyun (Esom) is the brothers' first ever and only friend in 20 years—and also happens to be Dong Goo's swimming coach.

5. Taxi Driver (2021)

The life of Kim Do Ki (Lee Je Hoon) changed when his mother became the murder victim of a serial killer. He now works at Rainbow Taxi Company—an entity that offers not only transportation, but also a unique "revenge-call" service, wherein a client deprived of justice could seek help in getting revenge on the people who did them wrong. Kang Ha Na (Esom) is a prosecutor who becomes interested in the Rainbow Taxi Company.

6. Kill Boksoon (2023)

Who else is in it: Jeon Do Yeon, Sol Kyung Gu, Goo Kyo Hwan

Gil Bok Soon (Jeon Do Yeon) is an A-list killer at MK Entertainment with a 100% success rate. As the time comes for her to decide whether or not to renew her contract, her last mission leaves her with a dilemma—to kill or be killed. Along with her job comes her struggle at being a single parent to her 15-year-old daughter, whom she keeps her line of work a secret from. Esom plays Cha Min Hee, the director of MK and the younger sister of Cha Min Gyu (Sol Kyung Gu).
