Do you still remember your first-ever job interview? For me, it was done at 3:00 p.m. on a Friday and the interviewer was one of the general managers of this retail store I applied at. I was a bit excited but at the same time, very nervous because I knew how much impressions matter. Naalala ko pa nun, I would practice answering Qs in front of a mirror just so that I could consider myself ~prepared~, LOL.

Aside from the common job interview questions like, "Tell me about yourself" or "Where do you see yourself five years from now?," I think another *crucial* one is, "What are your strengths?" Not gonna lie, mapapaisip ka talaga. Whenever I get asked this question, I always think about my skills. What am I good at? What are some of my personal achievements and how did I fulfill them? It's important to know these things so that you can leave a good impression on the interviewer.

And while having a certain set of skills is great, know that there's always room for growth. From experience, learning new skills and developing them even further can help you improve in your career. It may be out of your comfort zone and it may not be easy, but the end results can be rewarding. So, if you're interested in expanding your skillset, JobStreet recently partnered with British digital education platform FutureLearn and launched 100,000 online free courses. ICYDK, FutureLearn is an open online course learning platform that's jointly owned by The Open University and SEEK Ltd. They work with global universities and industry experts to provide people with a world class education online. Keep reading to know more.
