There's no denying that spaghetti and donuts are two of life's greatest things—but that doesn't mean people are happy with the latest Instagram food craze taking over the internet.
Why? Because it's a donut, made out of spaghetti. A spaghetti donut. We have so many questions right now.
Created by New York based restaurant Pop Pasta, the weird-but-potentially-wonderful creation is a savory take on the sweet classic, made out of fried pasta. Their website explains:
"Pop Pasta combines a popular Neapolitan dish, the spaghetti pie (frittata di spaghetti) with an American food icon, the donut. Slow food meets fast food. In the Neapolitan tradition the spaghetti pie is a dish prepared with pasta leftovers combined with eggs and cheese and then fried."
The more we think about this, the more delicious it sounds. But is it hard? Soft? Squishy? Hot? Crumbly? Cheesy? GIVE US THE ANSWERS WE NEED.
Let's just hope it doesn't taste like the pasta that gets stuck together at the bottom of the pan.
Flavors for the donut include the Aglio E Olio (with olive oil and garlic), the Carbonara (with bacon) and the Bolognese (with ground beef).
Judging by the reaction on Twitter, not everyone will be booking a flight to New York in a bid to get their hands on one, with one person writing: "Why must spaghetti donuts be a thing?", and another adding: "Spaghetti Donuts, huh? It's officially over. We're done."
But what about you? Are you on board with the spaghetti donuts or nah?
