I moved back to the province almost a year ago and while I've adjusted to my life here, there's still a piece missing—and that's Yabu. LOL! I *ache* every time I see my friends' Instagram Stories and realizing that everyone's getting their Yabu fix but me. And it looks like I'm in for a world of pain because they recently introduced their Katsu Baos and of course, they look exquisite. These babies boast their golden brown katsu cradled by soft steamed buns.
Yabu's Katsu Baos:
Priced at P125 a pop, they have three different options: the Chicken Katsu Bao (with picked cucumber, karashi tonkatsu sauce, Japanese mayo, and onion jam), the Menchi Katsu Bao (cheesy meat patty paired with pickled cucumber, karashi tonkatsu sauce, Japanese mayo, and onion jam), and the Ebi Katsu Bao (paired with takanasuke, spicy aioli, and onion jam).
